This recognition could be how they've influenced you or something they have done or said that has made a real difference. It is more than just a simply thank you. acknowledgement must come from the heart,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so much so that the other person recognizes it not just cognitively (in their mind) but realizes the value they have in their heart too.
One of the most important thing that you can do to increase your Authenticity Ratio and ensure your success is to ACKNOWLEDGE the people you interact with on a day to day basis,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. It's a principle that is so rarely used that some might even regard acknowledgement as a "secret",[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
You might be thinking "really? How is acknowledging other people going to help to make me successful,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]?"
How do you use acknowledgement to succeed?
Before I share this success "secret" with you, let's set the record straight about acknowledgement.
Dare To Be Different - Be Authentic,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
True acknowledgement is always genuine,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], real,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and truthful. It's about honoring someone by recognizing what they've done,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who they are,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the significance they have in your life or business.
The truth is that so few people apply this success principle properly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but when you do you will see dramatic and almost instant changes that will open doors of opportunity for your business and personal life to lead to success.
True acknowledge is authentic and immediately recognizable in your demeanor, the tone of your voice,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], your body language, and particularly in what you say.
When you truly acknowledgement someone, you change them for the better. It is more than the mere platitude we have all so often heard. True acknowledgement makes people want to be better people. It is the ultimate form of positive reinforcement.
I know this may sound extreme for some of you, but it's true. It is one of the success principles that every great leader knows and makes use of it daily.

2013-07-10 09:17:29 &nbsp,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych];
social commentary in the Hongkong on 10 July, and the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council on Friday will review research extension Tuen Mun landfills funding applications,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but many political parties and groups including FTU, economy and people's livelihood alliance that opposed, to grant application may be rejected. Chief executive Liang Zhenying said yesterday, this year the government will make every effort to follow the source of waste reduction, called for legislation from the overall situation, support, and hope that all 7000000 people set an example by personally taking part, reduce solid waste.

Trust In Something Else
As result of not trusting oneself,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it could mean that one always looks outside for reassurance and guidance. This could then lead to being dependent on other people’s advice. By doubting their judgements and ideas; self sabotage is another potential outcome.
And if one feels that they have to do everything themselves and that there is no other source to assist them, it will create a lot of struggle, frustration and pain. One may also feel that they are alone and are isolated in this world.
By having trust in oneself it will lead to an inner belief and that the decisions and actions one takes will often be for the best. If this is not the case and something doesn’t go to plan, an acceptance and understanding will be felt within.
The person who trusts is going to have a completely difference experience to the person who doesn’t trust. Trusting others will lead to having deeper and richer relationships with others. One will feel more at peace with others and this will lead to more happiness and joy being experienced.
Living to ones truth will rarely be possible and one will be forced to follow what other people say or don’t say. The choice to do what one feels is right, will not be an option; apart from on the odd occasion. One is also unlikely to have a sense of their personal power either.
Here one would begin to form a sense of trust in being able to rely on others. And providing ones caregivers allowed for one to separate and explore,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; it would likely lead to self trust being formed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
To others this may be seen as negative and that one should believe in themselves. However,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this may seem to be the only way that is possible.
Consequences - Distrust

Being able to let go of control and trust at certain times, will enable one to work with life as opposed to trying to force life all the time. This can lead to ones outcomes being achieved with less effort and energy.
What is clear is that these are two very different perceptions. One perception will lead to more happiness and fulfilment. And the other to a higher chance of unhappiness and lack of fulfilment.
It is unlikely to result in one feeling a sense of failure and inner doubt,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The experience will not become generalised and turned into one no longer trusting themselves.
Distrust In Others
The ego mind has formed associations around trust. And the early experiences that one has, helped to create these associations. This means that the ego has held onto them because they are familiar and not because they are functional.
Childhood
It is just that due to the expectations that they have, others are expected to be trustworthy. And if something were to happen, to lead to the opposite being true, these people will often dismiss it and put it down to being a one off.
It is during these early years that one comes to conclude whether other people can be trusted,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; if one can trust themselves and how one feels about trusting in the unseen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The quality of one’s early care and whether it was primarily empathic on unempathic care will make a big difference.
And all because they are what is classed as familiar to the ego mind. As to what assistance one needs with this will depend on how much of a challenge this is,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. A therapist or someone similar may be required. Or some focused reading and then changes in ones behaviour may be enough.
This is not simply limited to the ‘strangers’ and all those they are familiar with; people who are close to them may also be kept under a watchful eye. Their expectations are likely to be based on people being distrustful.
Distrust In Something Else
If situations arise that go against this point of view, they may well be ignored, dismissed or interpreted as being one offs.
Two Experiences
Trust In Others
Empathic
If ones caregivers were aware and empathic to ones needs, this would have allowed a functional attachment to occur.
Trusting in others would make one feel uncomfortable and fearful. And if ones caregivers didn’t allow one to separate and explore, it could have lead to one not developing a connection to their instincts and being able to trust themselves.
For the person who doesn’t trust in others, life is inevitably going to be a lot harder. One will have to do more work that is necessary and all because one cannot trust others.
For some people trusting others is a way of life and something that is rarely questioned. Whether it is a close friend,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], family member, or a spouse for example; the same outcome will be expected.
Distrust In Oneself
Now,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for people who don’t trust others, the idea of trusting others could sound not only irresponsible, but also dangerous. Other people could be seen as unreliable and, given the chance, will only take advantage.
The thought of trusting in something else and letting go to this source can be met with resistance. One may doubt that this other source exists or that it can be trusted.
Being able to trust is an important part of life. And this not only relates to trusting other people, it also relates to trusting oneself. Having trust in life, is another expression of this. This could be trusting in some kind of god for some and for others it could simply be a sense of trust in life. Or what is known as faith to some people.
Awareness
In order to trust, these associations need to be made aware of and released. Because the ego mind will interpret situations based on these associations; project the past onto the present and attract experiences that validate these memories.
Unempathic
Perception
On the other hand, if ones caregivers were umepathic and generally denied ones needs; ones attachment style would not be functional.
This trust will often extend to people who they haven’t seen before and are not very familiar with. People who are classed as ‘strangers’ will generally be expected to be trust worthy; this is not to say that they are naive.
The defining factor in how trust worthy one is or is not usually comes down to what ones childhood was like.
It may have also been a one of event and based on the trauma of having no one there to take care of one’s needs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], one was deeply wounded.
Doing everything by oneself may appear to be the only way that anything can be done. To let go and trust in something else, may be interpreted as a sign of weakness and lead to one not getting what they want.
Author's Bio:
And if they were to trust in themselves and what they did ended up going wrong, it would be taken personally. It would be generalised and as an example of why one can’t trust themselves.
The thought of letting go and trusting in the unseen would also be more likely to be accepted. And this would be due to the first description; with the memory of being able to rely on ones caregivers supporting the belief that were one to let go and trust in the unseen - one would not be let down.
Having a sense of trust in something else is a normal experience for many people. And even though this other thing cannot necessarily be touched or seen doesn’t matter. One can feel more at ease and have a deeper sense of connection through trusting in what is not visible to the five senses.
Being able to oneself will also lead to more happiness; as through trusting oneself, living ones truth will be possible. One will know when they are on course and when they are not. This will lead to a sense of self esteem and personal power.
How their caregivers were, would then be projected onto an unseen power. Letting go may then be interpreted as being controlled and having no choice.
Consequences - Trust
At its strongest influence, this is what guides their day to day experiences and the actions that they take. And through this connection, they feel that they are not alone and are always looked after. Often described as what religion is or what spirituality is all about. However, there is no right or wrong,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], only what one feels is true.
Associations
Trust In Oneself
Giving up control may be seen as equal to being controlled. And that as soon as this happens, one will feel that they have no choice.
These areas of trust can affect people differently. One person may trust in themselves and not trust in others. Or trust in others but not themselves. It maybe that one trusts in something else and not other people and many other combinations.

Once you place yourself in the service of those around you--your family,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], your colleagues and your customers--every moment becomes imbued with purpose and significance. You will feel GOOD.
1. Show up fully and commit with all your heart
4. Don't tolerate dysfunctional behaviors
Use powerful and positive language about what you will do and the attitude you expect from others. If a TGIM workplace is your goal, take the time to make your communications clear on every level.
While you are at work, commit to work with all your heart. This is what I call throwing your heart over the bar--committing 100 percent to the moment and task before you.
5. Clean up your messes
2. Communicate clearly
Relationships are built on trust. Without that foundation, there is no basis for a relationship. We breach the trust each time we don't do what we said we would do. But here's the thing--that breach can be healed quickly IF you come back and clean up the mess. Acknowledge that the results are not okay then make a commitment to make things right and prevent a recurrence.
Acquire these seven habits and spread them through your workplace. Then be sure to notice the first Monday your hand reaches for the alarm--and you smile,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. You can love your job and feel happy at work if you follow these 7 secrets.
3. Go beyond the job description
7,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Celebrate
6. Live a life of profound service
It all boils down to seven habits that can change everything about the culture of your workplace,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
As you drive to work,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], begin thinking about how the work you do is serving others and contributing to their success and happiness. This is the essence of true service, and the key to a workplace that draws you happily back, Monday after Monday after Monday.
Establish a zero-tolerance policy for talking behind another person's back. Then give each other permission to address conflict head-on, out loud, courageously and honestly. Create a trusting and open environment and watch the dysfunction ebb away.
What accounts for the difference between "Oh crap,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it's Monday" and "Thank God it's Monday"? It's your happiness. And,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for your own emotional and mental health,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you need to feel happy at work.
Going beyond the job description happens when you pitch in and help others at work without expecting reward. Willingly share the load. If you're caught up on your tasks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], help someone else who is crunching for a deadline. Instead of feeling like it's an extra burden, you will actually feel like you play a bigger role in your company than you ever did before.
At work, we think of home. At home, we think of work. Time to stop that. The first step toward a TGIM workplace is being present and accounted for at work. Thinking about being elsewhere leads to resenting where you are.
Every project consists of little steps and little victories along the way. Recognize and celebrate them in both large and small ways. Build a system of celebrations and rewards--quarterly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], weekly, daily--and follow through like your company's life depends on it. Because,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], (psst) it does.

This is very important for kids to understand: There’s a difference between his or her opinion about things and the way the family structure—and the world—operates.
If your child is trying to start an argument with you, don’t keep it going. Parents often feel like they have to get the last word in to be in control, which in reality only serves to further the child’s urge to argue with you. If you disagree with your adolescent child, they often think it’s because you don’t understand what they’re saying,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so they’ll keep trying to put it another way. This is because people who are immature in their communication styles aren’t always able to see that you don’t agree with their position. They think that if they could just explain it a little better, you’d understand and accept it. This is another reason why arguments with kids can keep going even after you’ve explained your point of view.
When your child has come up with some erroneous statement in an attempt to prove their point, the best thing you can do is state your opinion honestly. When they state their counter opinion, you can say, “That’s really interesting. I have to go downstairs now.” If what they are saying has to do with health or safety: then you should correct it and walk away.
Remember, as a parent, you don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to; you can make choices. Although it is very important that kids feel like they’re being heard and responded to, it does not mean they get to go on endlessly. We can all debate about a lot of things, but we’re responsible to a structure in our home. The truth is, we all have varied opinions about our jobs, our supervisors, or our teachers, but as we mature, we have to learn to deal with our thoughts and feelings independently and keep our opinions separate from our functioning at school or work, as well.
I also can’t stress enough the importance of listening to your child once. I know they can be obnoxious and irritating—but just remember that sometimes they might be stating an opinion about something you really need to know about. It might be something the teacher is doing that may be inappropriate, a dangerous thing the bus driver is doing, or a risky behavior on the part of your child’s friends. It’s important that you listen to your kids with an open mind, because when something important does come along, you want to make sure they feel free to bring it to you.
Don’t Keep the Argument Going
My Child Won’t Let His Siblings Express Themselves
Before I give you ideas for dealing with this behavior, I want to make one thing clear: As kids grow, they need to develop their interests and ideas, and they need to learn how to express them. They also have to learn where they end emotionally and where their parents begin—what we call "emotional boundaries." At different developmental periods, kids go through a process called separation and individuation. Sometimes this process is not very noticeable at all, and sometimes it occurs very intensively. As an older child or teen,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they continue that process by learning how to form their own opinions. So realize that some of the behavior you’re experiencing with your teen or pre-teen is very normal for this stage in life.
Don’t Be Frightened by Your Child’s Opinions
Saying that, if your child’s need to assert their opinions crosses the line and becomes obnoxious, there are things you can do to help curtail that behavior and teach them more socially appropriate ways of behaving, both inside and outside of the family.

Do not be frightened by kids’ opinions—just respond to them honestly. I think it’s much more effective to judge your child by their behavior rather than by their opinions, thoughts or ideas. Often their ideas are based on peer conversations at school, rumors, cultural events, or something they’ve seen or heard in the media. When your child or teen is talking to you, they’re often trying to shape their own opinions. It’s better to hear your child out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], state your opinion honestly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], let them respond, and then respectfully disengage from the conversation. That way, nobody gets their feelings hurt and you’ve avoided an argument.
Author's Bio:
If your child won’t let his siblings express themselves,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or will not listen to their opinions, what I would recommend is that you say “Jack, you aren’t listening to others. How can you keep arguing your position when you won’t even listen to your sister’s answer? Why don’t you give her a second and hear what she’s saying?” That way, you provide an example to your other kids so they can learn to say, “You’re not listening.”
If your child tends to be argumentative and you stay in the argument with them,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it makes them feel more powerful and in control. Don’t forget: kids only have the power you give them. Some of the power they need to have is very important; it helps them develop their personal and social lives. In fact, it’s very important that they gain increasing access to power as they grow older and individuate more. On the other hand, when it comes to discussing house rules or consequences or privileges, I think that after they state their opinion, you say, “I understand, but this is the way it is,” and then leave. If you stand there, they think it’s OK to keep talking. When you get out of the situation, it takes the power out of the room.
Many parents of children who act in an overbearing way find it effective to come up with a cuing system with their child to signal that they’re “doing it again.” You and your child should agree on a signal, just like a cue in a movie or play. The gesture means, “Really stop it now. You’ve stated your opinion and you need to let it go. If you go further, there are going to be consequences.” Many parents find this a very effective, non-verbal tool for helping their child curtail inappropriate behavior without embarrassing them in front of others.
Don't Let One Child Ruin It for Everybody

One of the most powerful things you can do with kids who are know-it-alls is not respond to them when they try to drag you into an argument. Be respectful but disengage, because each time you respond, they feel compelled to answer back—and as you know, the discussion will just keep going and going.
Use Cues
Does your child always insist that they’re right and everyone else is wrong? Some kids have a bad habit of asserting their opinions by drowning out everyone else in the room—regardless of whether or not they know what they’re talking about. Understandably,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this overbearing behavior can be very annoying and frustrating for both parents and family members alike.
If your kids won’t stop arguing back and forth,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you can also say, “I’m tired of this bickering. This conversation has 60 more seconds, and if you don’t stop, you’re going to your rooms.” At first, the child who’s the know-it-all might get more obnoxious, but just follow through with the consequences so he learns how to stop. Give them the responsibility that the argument has to stop in 60 seconds and when it doesn’t, you hold them accountable. In this way they learn to meet the responsibility of stopping the argument,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as well as a more socially appropriate way of behaving.
If family members are having dinner,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], watching TV or a movie together at home,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], don't let one child dominate the conversation in such a way that it blocks everyone else from expressing their opinions. It's very important to understand that while everyone's opinion is valued, it's usually valued once. After that, it becomes harassment. If one of your children doesn't like what you're having for dinner or doesn't care for the movie choice, give them their options and don't let them sit there and continue to annoy everyone with their negativity. Always have a back-up plan. This usually includes having them go to their room until they can let go of the topic or complaint they're stuck on. This does not have to be a punishment or consequence. It's just a time out for your child in his or her room, until they can get off the subject. Often, when kids are over-stimulated, anxious or frustrated, it's hard for them to switch thoughts on their own. A change of scenery and a few minutes away from the stimulation can be very helpful.
So don’t be threatened by your child’s opinions and assertions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], even if they’re wrong. The more you ignore these kinds of statements, the sooner they will go away. In fact, if you want a child to be a real pain in the neck—if you want to strengthen some behavior or characteristic—just argue with them. It will serve to exercise that muscle and make your child feel more powerful.

5) Does the therapist split the couple up and work with them individually? If they do, then they are not a couple therapist; they are an individual therapist. Only in extreme cases should a couple be split up and worked with separately i.e.,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], domestic violence, unprocessed trauma, active substance abuse. Splitting a couple up for one (1) session for assessment purposes is ok as long as that is the reason for the division.

This will help you know if the therapist is being honest with you about their qualifications.

4) Does the therapist work on communication skills? This is a tricky one. If the therapist answers "Yes" and does not qualify their answer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you may be in trouble. For example,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], research clearly states that working on teaching a couple how use "I" statements and other basic communication techniques does not work. Communication is about trust. If the couple does not trust their partner then the words coming out of their mouths will not be taken in and listened to.

7) Does the therapist see the couple as an "Emotional Bond" or a contract that needs to be renegotiated? Therapists that give their couples tasks to complete such as going on more dates or doing more chores around the house are missing the point. "It's not about the trash!!!" It's about the emotional bond between the couple and when that emotional bond is not strong enough,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the couple will respond with distress. These tasks to do more chores or bring home more flowers try to get at strengthening that bond. However, without directly focusing on how that bond is weakened, the couple therapist will be wasting more time and missing the point completely.
With couples divorcing and splitting up at the highest rate modern time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], quality couple therapy is a must. And, finding a qualified couple therapist is essential. Only 14% of therapists in the United States that state they do couple therapy have actually had training in how to do couple therapy. Most therapists claiming to be competent in working with couples are applying training they received in working with individuals to the couple dynamic and think that this will work; it doesn't. Here is a quick list of things to ask a potential couple therapist during the interviewing process.
3) What theoretical perspective do you conceptualize your couples with? There are two very well known theoretical perspectives designed specifically for working with couples,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. They are Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and IMAGO therapy. If the therapist does not incorporate a theory then they will have no idea where they are going with the couple and you will be wasting precious resources and time in their care,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
If you would like more tips or explanation on how to interview a potential couple therapist, please feel free to contact me at any time through my website at

Most every electronic gadget today has a reset button. New homes have them on every electrical outlet, so instead of blowing a circuit, the outlet cuts off. You push the little red button,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and PRESTO...it works anew. Blow dryers have them. Cars have them. Computers, cameras, phones,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], DVRs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you name it, they've got one. All 'for your convenience'.
There you are,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], all in your groove, when some ego-based voice shows up and ruins the fun. And that's where your movie always ends. You never get past that part,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], because the 'spell' has been broken and you can't seem to get yourself back to that place. CRAP. CRAP. CRAP.

And then there's us. We have all these circuits we run on that,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for the most part, we don't pay particular attention to. Especially the thoughts we think. We've had these thoughts for so long, over and over, that we don't even realize we're thinking them. Take, for example, this little scenario:
You're sitting in your Quiet Place. You've made the time to just BE and you're thinking about some particular dream of yours. You watch the little movie play through your head, smelling the smells,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], tasting the flavors, feeling the rush. It's a terrific movie and you want to live it. Then...you hit this one spot...the spot where the movie screeches to a halt because your mind just hollered "IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! GIVE IT UP,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], DREAMER. NO WAY, NO HOW!"
Author's Bio:&nbsp,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych];
CRAP,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]! Doncha just HATE when that happens?
How cool is that? How cool to just have your own reset button, however you see it in your head, and push it whenever you need to.
Think it might change some things?
But what if there was a reset button? Instead of always stopping at that certain point in your 'mind movie',[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you could STOP AND RESET. You could take 1 second and recenter...and then get that movie to play BEYOND where it's always been shut down. You could actually see the whole thing through...without interruption, and feel what it feels like to live the whole thing.

If Susan sticks to the facts, and avoids a sarcastic,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], accusatory tone, she might be better able to reach out to her sister. She should avoid interpreting Cheryl’s actions (i.e. “You think that your job is so important, that you don’t consider my feelings!”) In fact, Cheryl might care much more than it seems and might have her own frustrations of which Susan is not aware. Is it possible that Cheryl backs off in defense because of Susan’s anger?
Linda Lipshutz, M.S.,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], LCSW, responds: “When extended family systems are overloaded by extreme circumstances, such as illness, financial upheavals or death, people tend to regress to previous,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], often disruptive, patterns of relating. Lifelong hurts, jealousies and resentments among siblings come storming back with a vengeance, and parents unwittingly can fuel the fire with innocuous comments that are perceived to be unappreciative of one’s efforts or to show favoritism.

Saying “I’m sorry” or “I forgive you” when appropriate can have tremendous mileage. If Susan is more understanding of Cheryl’s position, she will be better able to articulate how Cheryl can assist her, even long distance. For example, she might request that Cheryl visit her mother on a specific date so that Susan can attend an out of town wedding. Or else, she can request that Cheryl make some of the phone calls, or take charge of their mother’s paperwork. Simple acknowledgements by Cheryl – for example, recognizing that Susan has borne the brunt of their mother’s care – would go a long way, and make Susan feel better appreciated by her sister.
Holding onto negative feelings not only compromises the ability to be helpful to one’s parents, but also seriously depletes one’s emotional and physical well-being. Important steps can be taken to lessen the sting of the conflicts, and to forge stronger, more gratifying relationships. Staying in an angry and unreachable place is actually a choice. Susan should make a concerted effort to move past her differences with Cheryl.

My sister, Cheryl,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], an attorney, lives in Boston and has been so insensitive and unavailable, I want to scream!
I reached my breaking point when Cheryl spoke down to me long-distance, in her enraging, know-it-all tone,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], questioning the way that I had handled Mom’s aide. To make things even worse, when I complained to Mom, she took Cheryl’s side like always,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], reminding me that Cheryl has a very demanding job. Mom has no clue how much time I spend on her care without help, and it infuriates me that she always defends Cheryl.”

The next step is to consult a good bankruptcy lawyer to help you and the family find the ideal means of dealing with the situation. You have to understand that filing for bankruptcy affects one’s credit ratings. But this is a temporary issue. Depending on the extent of your petition, you may even get a discharge or in its place,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a reasonably good repayment plan. Tell your family of these options to help them understand that you are not standing at the brink of disaster,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but rather have met a road block.
Filing for bankruptcy can take an emotional toll on anybody. Largely because it is not a nice situation to be in – socially or personally. Constantly having to see bills that you cannot pay pile up can be disturbing. Have creditors call at insane hours and leave messages at every possible outlet can be frustrating. Considering the present economic climate and the aftermath of recession,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the number of people filing for bankruptcy is high and doesn’t seem to be on the decline. Despite the social negativity associated with it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], filing for bankruptcy can be the most intelligent decision you have made yet.

Being as honest with your family as needed is the best way to go about it. Talk to the children together and allow them to ask you questions. It will put their little minds at rest. Emphasize the need for a slightly altered lifestyle and ensure them that this is only a temporary phase. In the case of younger children,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you may not have much of an issue,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but with older ones you may have to deal with resentment and anger. Family therapy would be a good idea,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], especially if members are having a hard time coping.

There is no good way of breaking the news to your family however you can do it in a manner that can cushion the blow. For starters get your spouse into the loop if you already haven’t done that. Many people tend to hide facts from immediate family out of shame. But in a situation like this,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], breaking the news to the rest of the family has to be done with care. Having your partner by your side helps. It helps reduce the emotional burden associated with bankruptcy.
One of the fall outs of dealing with the bankruptcy is having to break the news to your family,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. It can be even more daunting if you have kept them sheltered from the family’s financial issues till then,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. What’s the number one reason people hesitate on moving forward in the use of video or other visual media in their business? I’ve found it to be nearly always fear of some form.
5. Go back to step one and repeat the series as often as necessary,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
3. Register your value: Whether you are in front of TV, radio or a live audience,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], magazine readers, or your personal clients, believe unwaveringly in your ability to bring value to others. If you have trouble with the word “unwaveringly” in that last sentence, then get yourself a coach and /or some cheerleaders, because you do have incredible value, and the world will be better if you share your knowledge and talent! Bottom line: By keeping attention outward,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it is impossible to focus on feel bad about yourself.
2. Clear your focus: No matter where you are, or what you might be unhappy with, move your focus to what you want instead.

1. No winging it! Just like starting a new sport,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], prepare as best you can before you start shooting. Is your next project a video for your business, or Facebook fan page? Are you looking to be a guest expert on TV and other media? Think big! Maybe your own show? Now get clear on what you want to accomplish and understand what your visual brand needs to say about you! Hey, hiring a coach for this is a great thing to consider. Bottom line: A racehorse that stumbles out of the gate rarely wins…why not make sure your first steps are the right ones?
4. Recognize what negative self-talk is holding you back: If you hear yourself saying things like “but” or using "should",[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "always",[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], “not” or "never", your self-criticism is probably at work. Stop it before it stops you! Allow some quiet time to listen to your verbiage that you use with yourself; how do you describe your talent. Confidence,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], intelligence and body? Replace all negative phrases and disclaimers with positive terms and powerful statements. It may seem awkward at first,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that why step five is:
Don’t worry about the website that needs to be perfect (it will never be) or the 5 pounds you want to lose (we’ll never notice) or for your book to be published: build the momentum now and just say “yes” to starting onto the next level of your media goals. Now is not the time to waste. Bottom line: If you have an online presence, and you want to keep your business you need video now. Period.
Ranging from absolute paralyzing terror of the lens to negative self-talk and overall-fish out of water feeling,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fear can cost you!
5 Steps to Get You Feeling Like a Rock Star in Your Video and Media Opportunities
The ability to transcend fear and all negative thought is the key to accelerated change in your life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and in your performances… even if your performances are in your local networking groups, or meeting rooms!
Replace that fear with faith in the impact you were designed to make!

Writing out our goals accomplishes a few things:
Have you ever said to yourself, "Someday, I'm going to..."?
And if you don't invent your future, someone else will!
Even Olympic athletes write out their goals. That,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], along with the technique of visualization, creates the energy, drive and emotion to achieve goals.
Author's Bio:
The key concept here is to write out your goals,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], read them frequently and move towards what you think about. Your present thoughts determine your future.
The same holds true in planning our lives. I have heard many people say to me, "I don't need to write out my goals. I just keep them all in my head." Well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], good for you! How successful have you been in achieving your goals?
There are a number of ways to keep track of your goals. One is to write them on an index card, carry them with you and read the cards frequently. Some of my colleagues writing their goals in the form of a 'letter of intention' and read that each day. Writing in a journal is one way of capturing your dreams and plans for your future.
1. It imprints the goal on our subconscious mind. ("All meaningful and lasting changes starts first on the inside, then works its' way out." -- Lou Tice)
2. We are able to keep the goal in front of us, to read and internalize daily (more on that later).
3. It makes it 'real'.
4. Writing our goals helps greatly to clarify our thinking.
5. Writing our goals provides a reliable record when our memory lags.
Three years ago,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I moved to London, Ontario from Edmonton,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Alberta. If you check the map, you will see that I am now living in the southern part of the country, compared to Edmonton. It is so gorgeous here, that it feels a bit like Paradise to me. There are so many fabulous lakes and beaches, compelling fruit/vegetable markets, incredible bike trails, etc. etc. At the end of May, I took out my calendar and, for the next 3 months,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], filled in the dates with some of the activities that I really wanted to do this summer -- pick blueberries with friends, go to the beach,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], bike the local trails,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], go to a play at Stratford Festival Theatre, host friends for a BBQ once a month,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and so on. Summers are short in Canada so,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for me,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I feel it is important to plan this precious time and get the most out of it. I know, from past experience, that if I didn't plan my time and write it down, many of my fun experiences would not necessarily have happened this summer. My intention was to have those experiences this year. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention publication Preventing Falls: What Works A CDC Compendium of Effective Community-based Interventions from Around the World
Of 10 exercise based fall intervention programs discussed, 3 are Tai Chi: Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance (Li,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], et al.),Central Sydney Tai Chi Trial (Voukelatos,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], et al.),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Simplified Tai Chi (Wolf, et al.). Two of the programs are Yang Style Tai Chi based programs, while the Sydney Trial it is pointed out, did not attribute any specific Tai Chi Style. The Li, et al research was extended to develop a program which can easily be disseminated (transmitted in the Tai Chi lexicon) into communities.
Fall prevention is a topic looming large in the health care because of its tremendous cost in dollars, and in largely preventable human suffering and death,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and “look-back liability*”. In 2000, the total direct medical costs of all fall injuries for people 65 and older exceeded $19 billion: $0.2 billion for fatal falls, and $19 billion for nonfatal falls. By 2020,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the annual direct and indirect cost of fall injuries is expected to reach $54.9 billion (in 2007 dollars). Referring back to the two previously cited articles by Dr Tinetti, it is plain to see that health care professionals do not have a good perspective on just how big the problem is.

Medical professionals have little knowledge of what Tai Chi is or what it can do. In some cases,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they feel their domain threatened by a common, community-based activity. On-going studies by CDC, the National Institutes for Health, and other bodies show that medical community lack of knowledge, our lack of consistency and parochialism, and little monetary incentive for prevention practices (for the trained medical professional) are distractors which cause the professionals to fall back on Medicare and other Health Insurance providers' approved practices. Dr Mary Tinetti at Yale University, probably the world's leading authority on fall prevention and balance training in communities,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], has also assessed possible solutions from a “global to local” perspective. Two published articles are revealing, and for the ambitious reader, will shed tremendous light on why Tai Chi (among other practices) is not well received: Dissemination of an Evidence-Based Multicomponent Fall Risk-Assessment and Management Strategy Throughout a Geographic Area, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society 2005; 53:675-680. and Perceptions of Physicians on the Barriers and Facilitators to Integrating Fall Risk Evaluation and Management into Practice Journal of General Internal Medicine 2006; 21(2):117-122. These studies also show that too many health care providers are actually resistant to learning and understanding these new ideas.
Currently, Tai Chi is taught in many local communities and its popularity is increasing. Most of these programs have one thing in common: the lack of long and deep scientifically developed evidence base. Typically they do not focus on a single chronic condition, where measurements in behavioral change can be made. There is not much in the way of consistent practice guidelines or Tai Chi program protocols, teaching materials, or implementation procedures, which makes understanding and acceptance of Tai Chi as Therapy, in community settings very difficult. We teach the classes and get very complementary feedback about changes in our students' well-being, and we “hope” to hear more.
Author's Bio:
As a Tai Chi teacher in the communities of NE Connecticut for the last 15 years, I have found consistently that Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Recreation Therapists, MD's and Nurses will almost universally affirm a patient's practice of Tai Chi for many chronic health conditions, but few will extend themselves to referring patients to local classes. Wanting to change that, I began working on a program to bring Tai Chi and its successes more fully into the awareness of the local healthcare community. I have had modest success, more importantly I have learned a great many lessons from my “audience”.
In order to establish Tai Chi as a widely recognized and accepted adjunct or alternative to any therapy, and to persuade health care providers to be more willing to make a referral to a community Tai Chi program,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we need to be talking about a single specific purpose for Tai Chi first. Tai Chi has demonstrated an amazing 55% reduction in the rate of falls injuries, death and cost. We need to be talking about a single, simple, evidence based Tai Chi protocol, or regimen, that has clearly addressed the problem empirically. We need to be able to demonstrate success in the community with more than stories. We need to establish a usable, credible standard between Tai Chi teachers and the communities we live in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including medical professionals. Community based, evidence based, tai chi fall prevention exercise classes are our best chance to crack the door open in the near term.
Learn a clinically proven individual and small group therapeutic activity, mostly lab based training: learn a brief tai chi form, learn to implement reliable program: Balance/Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Parkinson’s Disease,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Depression. *look-back liability: for example: institutions that release patients as “well and fit”, will be responsible for the cost incurred by a patient fall in a (6 month) look-back period.
The medical community, and health insurance providers follow their patients, case in point: acupuncture. Acupuncture was brought into the mainstream with limited government approval for a specific approach to stopping addiction. After years of repeated success, additional acupuncture techniques were permitted for a broadening scope of maladies. Today,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], many people can get insurance with coverage for acupuncture: the insurance companies' customers demand it.
In 2011, the first time since 2001, the American Geriatrics Society and the British Geriatrics Society have updated their clinical guidelines for preventing falls in older people. The update includes two notable changes: One recommends tai chi — the meditative, slow-motion Chinese exercise — as an effective way to prevent falls. The perceptive reader at this point will realize that the Guidelines refers to fall prevention; not knee extensor strengthening, or improving balance. Neither of these, and the many, many other very detailed and impressive “evidence base” factors elicited from the best scientific practices in measuring what Tai Chi can do; address a single, specific, costly, PREVENTABLE chronic behavioral condition: falling.

Wait it out. For the most part,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], your ovarian cyst rupture should clear up on its own in a couple days. However,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that depends on what kind of cyst you had. If you had a fluid filled cyst, a trip to the doctor is probably a good idea but if you had a PCOS cyst, then you will be fine and it will heal on it’s own.
Living with the pain of an ovarian cyst is hard enough. For one, you find it hard to even want to get out of bed in the morning and secondly,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you can’t get back into your daily routine because of the pain. Life has become so hard and you just want it to get better. Unfortunately,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the saying “it gets worse before it gets better” has come true in your life.
